About Pediatricians in Action

These awards provide financial support to KAAP members pursuing innovative projects that improve the health and lives of children in their communities.

Whether addressing gaps in healthcare access, launching new mental health initiatives, or promoting preventive care, the awards empower pediatricians to follow through on their goals and make a measurable difference.

Previous funding has supported:

  • Increasing access to healthcare for Immigrant populations in western KS
  • Increasing immigrant immunization rates in Western KS
  • Providing artwork materials to children to increase access to artistic expression
  • Providing child safety education and equipment to communities in need
  • Providing safety zones for children at a school to impact emotional self-regulation
  • Providing a period pantry to community in need
