Advocacy
Positive change for kids in Kansas.
The Public Policy Committee advances policy and legislation that promotes health and well-being for all children in our state.
Our continuous work ensures that Kansas’s children’s health is prioritized, protected, and strengthened for lifelong wellness.
POLICY WORK
The leading voice for children and pediatricians.
Our work at the state and federal levels helps pediatricians do what they do best—care for kids.
We work with various agencies and offices at all levels, including state legislators, Governor, Congress, and other partners, to advocate for children’s health. Whether contacting your representatives and senators, meeting with the governor or legislative leadership, or testifying before legislative and other state committees, we support you in making your voice heard for kids in Kansas.
KAAP Advocacy Day
Speak up for Kansas kids.
This yearly gathering brings pediatricians and pediatric residents together at the State Capitol to promote childhood health.
Join us in raising our voices in the Statehouse as we meet to discuss policy, legislation, research, and progress on behalf of children and families across the state. The annual Advocacy Day helps us promote health initiatives among decision-makers and build stronger support for policies that protect and improve the well-being of children and families.
