Development
Meets virtually 2-3 times per year.
Join this committee to raise funds for the Kansas Pediatric Foundation, including the Year End Appeal and Pediatricians in Action awards.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Meets virtually every quarter.
This committee is for members dedicated to coordinating education and training, building partnerships with organizations and communities, and advising KAAP on policies and procedures that enhance member engagement.
Early Career Physicians
Meets virtually every quarter.
Members of this committee provide peer-to-peer support and direct member education on early career development opportunities. Typically, these members support others within the first five years of practice or making a career change.
Finance
Meets virtually every quarter.
This essential committee works with the Treasurer to monitor and review KAAP and KPF finances and make financial recommendations to the board of directors.

Pediatric Council
Meets virtually every quarter.
Members of this committee identify issues, concerns, and solutions with the Kansas Medicaid Program and the state-managed care organizations to ensure high-quality care is provided to Kansas children.
Progress in Pediatrics Planning
Meets virtually 3-4 times per year.
Join this committee to participate in planning and promoting the spring and fall Progress in Pediatrics conferences.
Public Policy
Meets virtually every week January–April and every month May–December.
This committee is for members looking to lead or support the KAAP Public Policy Agenda and plan the annual Advocacy Day.

Step 1: If you don’t have one, create an AAP account and login.
Step 2: While logged in to your AAP account, navigate to Join Your Chapter.
Step 3: Follow the screens to join the Kansas Chapter.
Join as an AAP and KAAP Member:
Step 1: If you don’t have one, create an AAP account and login.
Step 2: While logged in to your AAP account, navigate to Join the AAP.
Step 3: Follow the screens to apply for membership to AAP. You’ll need information such as your medical school attendance and graduation dates, your residency dates, and your state medical license number.
Step 4: Follow the screens to join the Kansas Chapter.
