Funds & Endowments
Let’s give kids the best.
By donating to KAAP, you are investing in Kansas kids now and in the future. Choose how to designate your donations below.
General Donation
Donations to the General Fund support member services, advocacy projects, and operational costs year-round.
Kansas Kids Fund
The Kansas Kids Fund provides KAAP with the resources needed to expand programs promoting children’s health across Kansas.
Established in 2014 by the Kansas Pediatric Foundation Board of Directors, the fund supports a range of child health and pediatrician-focused initiatives, including the Pediatricians in Action awards, scholarships for pediatricians to attend national conferences and skill-building training, and other special projects. The Board of Directors oversees the allocation of these unrestricted funds, directing them toward child health programs as resources become available.
Turn a Page. Touch a Mind.® (TAP-TAM) Program
Entirely funded through the Kansas Pediatric Foundation, TAP-TAM is our flagship early childhood literacy program.
The program specifically taps into the trusted relationship between a healthcare provider and a child’s caregiver to improve school readiness in Kansas.
This fund covers the direct program and operating costs for the TAP-TAM program. It enables additional purchases of books and materials to promote early childhood literacy, supports program evaluation, and helps cover the Kansas Pediatric Foundation’s operational expenses.
TAP-TAM Endowment
Your donation to the endowment adds to the principal balance of the TAP-TAM program.
Each year, a percent of the investment is used to purchase books and finance a portion of the program’s operational costs. A gift to the TAP-TAM Endowment can be designated for a specific community of your choosing.
