KAAP Welcomes New Executive Director

The Kansas Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP) is thrilled to announce the selection of Denise Cyzman as its incoming Executive Director. With an impressive career spanning over three decades in the non-profit, healthcare, and public health sectors, Denise has demonstrated a strong commitment to driving policy, effecting systemic change, and promoting health equity. Her extensive experience in leadership roles makes her an ideal fit for this position.

Prior to joining KAAP, Denise served as CEO of the Community Care Network of Kansas from 2014 to 2022. Under her leadership, Community Care achieved successful advocacy initiatives, provided impactful training events, and established valuable partnerships. The collaboration between Community Care and KAAP on shared goals and advocacy priorities further underscores Denise’s alignment with the KAAP mission and values.

As the newly appointed Executive Director, Denise is eager to embrace the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. Her vision for KAAP revolves around fostering innovation, empowerment, and growth across all facets of the organization. This includes prioritizing a member-centric approach, creating an inclusive work environment, cultivating a culture of innovation, adopting agile strategies to navigate the healthcare landscape, and establishing a collaborative network that leverages strengths for collective success.
