Strengthening Confidence in the Hepatitis B Birth Dose
Ensuring every infant receives timely, evidence‑based protection against hepatitis B begins at birth. This webinar, led by pediatrician Gretchen Homan, MD, and pediatric resident Anthony Saad, MD, provides an up‑to‑date review of the AAP’s recommendations for the hepatitis B vaccine birth dose, including the history and evidence that shaped current guidance. Designed for healthcare professionals who care for newborns in hospital and outpatient settings, the session will clarify the clinical rationale for the timing of the birth dose—and why it is far more than an “extra” dose.
