2025 Chapter Award Nominations.

KAAP members may submit nominations for these awards anytime throughout the year. The KAAP Board of Directors will select award recipients annually, and the awards will be presented at the Spring Progress in Pediatrics.

Awards for our members.

Rising Star

The Rising Star Award recognizes pediatricians with five years or less experience leading initiatives that significantly improved children’s health or enhanced physician well-being. It celebrates impactful contributions made within their practice, workplace, community, or through public policy.

Dennis M Cooley Advocacy Award

This award recognizes a pediatrician or pediatric resident who has led or made significant contributions to advocacy efforts for policy change at the state or national level. It honors their dedication to advancing pediatric health through legislative and other policy work.

Awards for our partners.

Community Partner of the Year

This award honors a community partner or leader who has significantly contributed to advancing children’s health and well-being in Kansas. It highlights their efforts that have positively influenced the lives of children in the state.

This award may be given to an individual or organization that has played a leadership role in improving Kansas children’s health and well-being in the past year.

All nominations must be submitted by March 1st, 2025.
